5 Simple Steps to No Fuss Party Treats
We know we’re pretty good at sharing hot tips about how to build balloon garlands, but this week we’re branching out into new territory…. cupcake decorating!
Cupcakes are arguably the most popular party treat and not only because they taste delish and are perfect for little hands but because you can decorate them in your party theme too!
Now, before you go expecting some piped-cream Martha Stewart-esque creations I probably should remind you that our cupcake kits are designed for the most novice of baker 🙋🏻♀️ so now is not the time to let your FOBF (fear-of-baking-fails) get in the way.
Thanks to our PUPC team member Marina who jumped straight into the kitchen (literally) after her week off at Byron Bay (in case you’re wondering – she did not spot a Hemsworth) to do this demo for us.
Follow along as we step you through the process…
Step 1
Open your cupcake kit and admire the cute details on the toppers
This is a very important and necessary step 😉
Step 2
Mix your cupcake batter and pour into cupcake cases
We’re not going to go into details here because we’re not remotely fussy about how that happens – packet mix, from scratch, buy from Woolworths – whatever floats your boat, just have a nice batter ready to pour into the baking cups provided in your kit.
Step 3
Bake your cupcakes
Pop your cupcakes into the oven and bake according to the recipe you’re using.
Step 4
Allow cupcakes to cool before decorating
Check your cupcakes are cooked (they’ll spring back slightly when pressed on top according to my Grandma) and remove from oven. Take them out of the tin and allow to cool on a wire rack before apply icing and toppers.
Step 5
Add the toppers
Pop one topper onto each cupcake and place on stand to display and devour! Absolute wow factor in under 30 minutes = winning!
